As you gear up for our next event, we want to remind you to take some extra precautions to ensure that your bike and belongings stay safe and secure. Here are a few essential tips for preventing theft at the event:
Bring a bike lock (or use the free bike valet) if you're bicycling: It may seem obvious, but you'd be surprised how many people forget to bring a lock. A sturdy lock, such as a U-lock or a heavy-duty chain lock, is essential for securing your bike to an immovable object like a bike rack or post. There will also be complimentary bike valet.
Remove all valuables from your bike: Take off any valuable items like lights or accessories that can be easily removed. This will reduce the risk of theft.
Keep your bike in sight: Whenever possible, keep your bike in your line of sight.
If driving by vehicle, be mindful not to leave valuables in the car: It's important to remember that theft can happen to cars as well. Don't leave valuables in your car. If you must, make sure it's out of sight and locked away.
By following these simple tips, you can help prevent theft and enjoy a worry-free day. Enjoy!
